The Financial Analyst is responsible for a full range of activities for the Business Sales department including budget preparation, forecasting, capital project analysis and business reporting. This includes analyzing the departments financial and operating statistics and proactively identifying areas of opportunity for the department. This position is responsible for conducting ad hoc analysis with minimal supervision and acts as a primary point of contact for reporting needs within Business Sales. The position is responsible for presenting or implementing the ideas identified by leadership.

What you will do to contribute to the company’s success
Performs basic financial and operational analyses and supports identifying emerging trends. May include cost analysis, financial and expense performance comparisons, calculations of rate of return, cash flows, and forecasting/budgeting. Additional ad-hoc analysis based on management need.
Gathers and compiles data used for identifying business trends. Accesses and manipulates data from company data systems and sources.
Refreshes and modifies existing financial reports and statements. Creates visualizations of extracted data.
Support financial and operational consultative services through collaborative partnerships. Analyzes and reviews data and supports resolving questions and/or problems.
Monitor and optimize business processes. Provides and reviews data to ensure both compliance and effectiveness of operational and financial processes, supports identifying anomalies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university required.
One or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Proficiency building Excel and PowerPoint.
Effective communication and presentation skills.
Ability to create advanced interactive variable financial models with measurement tools including Net Present Value, Internal Rate of Return and Return on Investment required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating the ability to clearly communicate information to multiple audiences required.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to analyze, problem-solve, synthesize multiple concepts, and think strategically.
Ability to effectively lead and manage a team.
