Abingdon and Witney College is a further education provider with four campuses in Abingdon, Witney, Bicester and Common Leys. We offer outstanding learning opportunities to adults and 16 – 19 students in a range of practical skills applied in high-quality, career-specific surroundings. We currently have almost 9,000 students learning with us and almost 600 employees. Owing to a retirement, we are looking to recruit a Financial Accountant into our team of six, reporting to the Head of Finance. The role includes management of the banking and nominal ledger, together with the preparation of cashflow and monthly management accounts.
If you have experience in financial accounting, preferably in an education environment, and want to be an integral part of a small team that ensures the financial stability of the College, the this could be the role for you!
Whilst this is a full-time role, there may be potential for flexibility in the number of hours worked. Successful candidates should have a Level 3 AAT (or equivalent or higher) in accounting. There will be the potential to study to a higher level if this is appropriate.
