Job Description

Analyst, Finance / Project Finance

Swell Energy is seeking an Analyst, Finance / Project Finance to support the corporate finance and project finance departments. You will be a key team member assisting Swell in executing its financial strategy including working on project finance transactions (tax equity, debt, inventory and construction financing, loans and warehouses and cash equity). Reporting to the Director of Project Finance, this team member will be an integral member of the finance department and have the opportunity to work with other departments on cross-functional projects.

Responsibilities

Execute capital raising transactions for Swell’s solar and solar plus storage projects (tax equity, debt, inventory and construction financing, loans and warehouses and cash equity)
Evaluate financing opportunities and potential project acquisitions
Develop project pricing parameters
Modeling and financial analysis – be able to create, modify and review different financial, economic, or other models to support strategic funding decisions and transactions
Own / Co-own modeling infrastructure to prepare all finance related output for board presentations, internal management reviews
Prepare investor presentations and manage the due diligence process
Prepare draw / funding packages to show conditions precedent and conditions subsequent being met for financing and funding purposes working closely with Financial Operations to process and manage the drawdown
Assist in corporate and project finance fundraising activities
Represent Swell with the highest level of professionalism to investors, partners, and vendors.
In conjunction with Financial Operations / Asset Management, prepare investor / lender reporting requirements

Qualifications

Ideal candidate must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, results-oriented, and operate well in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets and Microsoft PowerPoint / Google Slides
Proven experience running complex financial models
An analytical mind with a strategic ability
The ability to work independently and multi-task
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Bachelors in accounting, finance or relevant field
Ability to abide by and positively influence the information secure culture at Swell Energy
