Full-Time Finance Assistant
Job Description
Having cemented our position as one of the South West’s most established breweries, along with the successful launch of our world class new production and taproom venue in Bristol in 2022, we have entered an exciting new phase of growth for the business. As such we are looking for new people to join our amazing team to ensure we continue on our journey making beautiful beer. This role offers the opportunity for someone to be involved across the business and make an impact at this exciting stage in the business’ growth.
The Role
As our Finance Assistant you will report to our Finance Controller and ensure that all our monthly bookkeeping processes run smoothly, accurately and in a timely manner. You will work closely with department managers and key stakeholders within the business.

Main Responsibilities;
- Maintain bank reconciliations
- Run purchase ledger; ensure accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices with the supporting documentation for payment. Prepare payment runs. Respond to supplier queries promptly and professionally.
- Run sales ledger; ensure accurate and timely processing of customer invoices. Chase overdue debt to ensure timely payment.
- Run the monthly stock take. Review stock levels and support the Financial Controller with stock analysis.
- Run monthly payroll
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register
- Support the Financial Controller with month end financial reporting; preparing account reconciliations, accruals and prepayment analysis.
About You
- AAT Qualified
- Ideally with manufacturing experience
- Proactive ‘can do’ attitude and the ability to work on your own initiative – someone willing to do what is required to get the job done and contribute value to the company.
- Embrace and enjoy change. Adapt and be flexible, managing changing priorities on a day to day basis.
- Excellent interpersonal skills across all staff levels, a genuine interest and desire to be involved with the entire team, the ability to persuade, influence and motivate colleagues.
- Experience of using Xero and ideally supporting apps such as Dext and ApprovalMax
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail

Location: Based out of our main office in our Brewery and Taproom, Unit 11-15 City Business Park, Easton Road, Bristol, BS5 0SP. Hybrid remote/office working is available.
Hours: Monday to Fridays, 37.5 hours per week.
Salary: Circa £25,000 per annum, depending on experience.
