Full-Time Field Operations Manager
Job Description
This position is responsible for supervising, managing and coordinate the work programs and daily activities of the Street, Mechanics, Sanitation and Recycling Divisions of the Department of Public Works (collectively referred to as “Field Operations Divisions”). This position is responsible for communicating and coordinating divisional activities with other City departments and other divisions within Public Works. Specific duties include:
- Manage Operations of Public Works Field Operations Divisions
- Manage and Oversee Field Operations Divisions Budgets
- Manage Personnel within the Central Garage Division
- Direct Operation of the Street Division
- Direct Operation of the Sanitation Division
- Direct Operation of the Mechanics Division
- Coordinate, Communicate and Provide Customer Support
Required minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Construction Management, Public Administration or a related field.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in public works operations, maintenance or related work, at least five of which have involved progressively responsible supervisory duties.
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
