Federal Employee Program Contacted Representative
Summary:

  • Serves as a contracted sales representative for the Client Cross Federal Employee Program through Company.
  • This role serves as a secondary contact for federal agency personnel, members, and prospective members in an assigned territory during Open Season.  This role may also be requested to work during Public Service Recognition Week in May.
  • Works to secure new members and retain current membership. Responsible for creating and maintaining strong client relationships with agency contacts essential to organization’s success in membership growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Possesses strong communications skills to engage customers, answer insurance questions, and educate federal employees on Client FEP Plans.

Duties :

  • Attend Open Season enrollment events including: Agency Benefit Officers (ABO) Seminars, National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) meetings, health and wellness fairs, retirement briefings, agency visits/ drop offs, and other federal events.
  • Responsible for completing Open Season enrollment activities as assigned by the Account Manager.  Requires pre-planning and schedule management.
  • Assists with customer questions, concerns, or requests. Relays needs to the appropriate individual or department within the company.
  • Conducts presentations to member groups, retirees, and other designated parties to promote Plan benefits and services. Completes call reports for each activity.
  • Prepares and submits time sheets, call reports, and expense reports on a weekly basis during Open Season.

Experience Requirements:

  • Requires work experience in health insurance (claims, communications, customer service, sales, public relations or marketing) and/or sales and marketing.
  • Must be reliable and adaptive to change and meet deadlines.
  • Requires strong attention to detail and effective time management skills.
  • Requires superior verbal and written communication skills, and demonstrated presentation skills.
  • Must possess a Florida Health, Life, and Variable Annuity (2-15), Life and Health (2-18), or Health (2-40) license or be willing/able to obtain one in a timely manner. (1 year)
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
