Job Description
Our client is a men’s magazine founded in 1933. The magazine defines, reflects, and celebrates what it means to be a man in contemporary American culture.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE PHOTOGRAPHY GIG:
The magazine is looking for a professional fashion photographer to produce a fashion photoshoot for the magazines fashion and style content.
To execute high-quality photography, optimize team’s productivity, and proper uploads for website, social media, and catalog.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Execute digital photography, including planning and lighting of each individual shot, for multiple categories across lifestyle, apparel, and accessories.
Work proactively with on-site and remote creative teams (models and stylists).
Follow category-specific style guides to ensure consistency of image composition, surfaces, backgrounds, and lighting.
Production of consistent quality photo assets in a timely manner.
Responsible for editing an image by utilizing color separation, image manipulation, and color proofing.
Ability to work in a variety of indoor or outdoor settings.
Maintain a positive and fun environment for all members of the photoshoot sessions.
Keep up the fast pace shooting and post-production to provide final images within the lead time.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
Proficiency with Canon systems, Profoto Lighting, Adobe Lightroom, and Photoshop.
Current with photography trends, camera systems, and understands their benefits and limits.
Ability to work well independently.
Ability to work successfully with any personality type.
Ability to develop strong, synergistic relationships with a multitude of teams and personnel.
Strong work ethic to excel in a fast-paced environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledgeable of all aspects of digital image quality and output.
2 years experience in fashion photography.
A successful candidate works well in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision. More information will be communicated via email.
