Oxfordshire Adult Learning (OAL) are recruiting for a dynamic and passionate Family Learning Lecturer to join our ambitious team.
Family Learning recognises the role of the parent/carer as the first educator, and we design courses to enable parents/carers to learn how to support their children’s learning. Family Learning raises family aspirations and helps children to develop essential and life skills and raise attainment in school. Our courses promote literacy, numeracy, and other essential skills to develop mental, emotional and physical health.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, delivering, and evaluating family learning programmes aimed at fostering educational development and enhancing the overall well-being of families within the community. You will work schools, family centres, charities, and other partners to promote Family Learning initiatives meet their priorities and the needs of families in the community.
Effective time management and coordination of travel logistics are essential for this role as you will travel throughout Oxfordshire to deliver programs at various locations. You will have a high level of intrinsic motivation and respond positively to changing schedules and priorities.

Although a teaching qualification is an advantage, training opportunities exist within the College and we can support you in gaining your Award in Education and Training Level 3 Qualification (AET), within your first year of joining the college.
This role may be eligible for the ‘Taking Teaching Further (TTF)’ programme, which supports professionals as they move into teaching in the further education sector. Support from the TTF programme can include an initial reduction in teaching workload and enrolment onto teacher training.
