FACILITIES MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Pay Range: $21.37 – $24.42 hourly
Prepare yourself for battle – the City of Oshkosh needs a FACILITIES MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN to take the arena (City Hall) by storm and keep our terrain up to perfection.

In this role, you’ll face and conquer numerous challenges:
Maintenance
- Wield your tools like a true craftsman; paint, drywall, carpentry, equipment upkeep, and more.
- Outwit plumbing quandaries without a second thought.
- Vanquish HVAC issues using your knowledge of Direct Digital Controls (DDC) software.
- Bond with fellow gladiators (also known as contractors) to vanquish planned and unplanned repairs.
- Swiftly arrange and rearrange meeting spaces, because a true gladiator must be versatile.
Custodial Colosseum:
- Defend restrooms from the forces of grime and ensure they remain sanctuaries of cleanliness.
- Rise to the occasion when spills threaten to conquer. No spill is too great for you!
- Polish surfaces, command floors, and make carpets plush as gladiatorial cloaks.
- Wage war against trash and recycling, ensuring a clean and sustainable arena.
Groundskeeping Gladius:
- Subdue untamed lawns, masterfully trim, sweep away adversaries (like fallen leaves) and fight snow drifts into submission.
- Rid the fortress (City Hall) of cobweb enemies to maintain a pristine exterior.
Supply Centurion:
- Manage the logistics of materials coming to and from your domain.
Qualifications to Become a Gladiator (Facilities Maintenance Technician):
- High School diploma or equivalent
- At least three (3) years of increasingly responsible related experiences (battle scars optional).
- A valid driver’s license for your modern-day chariot.
What a Gladiator Needs:
- Mastery over the tools and resources necessary for maintaining and repairing your stronghold.
- Physical prowess to lift, conquer, balance, and traverse various terrains.
- Communicative strategies to rally and collaborate.
- The wisdom to operate and maintain safety in the face of danger and extensive repair challenges.
- Dexterity to follow and implement commands both spoken and written.
- Ability to forge and sustain strong alliances with your fellow gladiators (other city employees).
