Full-Time Facilities Assistant
Job Description
£31,805 to £33,434 per annum (dependent on experience). Full-time, 3 month fixed term contract.
This is a great opportunity for you to join the London Film School as a Facilities Assistant, working in our small and friendly facilities team.
You will be a point of contact for all staff, students, contractors and visitors reporting any building related concerns and will demonstrate high standards of customer service and professionalism. The successful candidate will assist the Facilities Manager with maintenance, technical support, teaching room set up, resourcing, cleanliness, security and health & safety matters.
You will be responsible for ensuring that daily premises audits/inspections are completed against a set checklist, reporting findings to the Facilities Manager as appropriate and undertaking a range of basic maintenance tasks.
The post-holder will also undertake the role of Fire Marshal during evacuations and perform evacuation duties when required.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a facilities management role with minimal supervision, together with a good understanding of basic building maintenance and be able to deal with customer problems and complaints proactively, in a positive, pleasant and diplomatic manner. A First Aid at Work qualification is essential and an NVQ Level 2 in Construction/Maintenance or a related discipline will be an advantage.
