We are currently hiring for the position of:
EXECUTIVE OFFICE FESTIVAL INTERN
Reporting to the Coordinator to the CEO, Executive Office, the Executive Office Festival Intern will work in a fast-paced environment, assisting with Festival preparation and execution, day-to- day office tasks and short-term projects. Applicants should have a specific interest in Arts Administration or Film. This internship is an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate of an applicable degree or diploma programme.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Shall include but not be limited to:
- Provide support in administrative duties, including scheduling meetings with internal and external stakeholders
- Liaise with different departments when building out the Festival schedule for the Executive team
- Organize and print necessary materials for the Executive team during Festival presentations (e.g. intro cards, etc)
- Assist with the management of Executive and Board chair schedules during Festival
- Assist with building mailing list to send invitations and managing RSVPs for special events
- Assist with guest/VIP stakeholder relations and act as liaison for managing guests’ tickets during Festival
- Assist with the maintaining and drafting of materials for the Board of Directors
- Manage the Executive Office Festival critical path, ensuring all deadlines are met
- Create and manage Executive Office festival event grid and work collaboratively with different teams to confirm accuracy of logistics and information flow
- Assist with ticket orders from Executive Office patrons for Festival
- Seat & greet TIFF Board Members & other guests at Festival venues if needed
- Assist Executive Office staff in the stewardship of the Board of Directors, attending Board related functions as necessary
- Creating research profiles
- Attend internal meetings, as assigned
RATE OF PAY
- $ 15.90/Hourly
CONTRACT DATES OR START DATE:
- July 18, 2022 to September 30, 2022
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduate of a post secondary or equivalent programme in arts or cultural management, or business / project management is preferred
- Superior oral and written communication skills
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Excellent judgment, in planning and ability to troubleshoot
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well individually and with a team
- High computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, Google Suite, MailChimp)
- Familiarity with TIFF and its activities
- Strong research skills that may require lots of time spent on internet searches
- Adaptable to a flexible work schedule including some evenings and weekends
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
