Executive Assistant for Principal Gifts and Campaign

Ball State University Foundation is seeking a professional, experienced and motivated executive assistant to support the work of its Campaign Strategy and Principal Gifts team. We’re committed to diversity, equity, inclusion and excellence. Would you like to join us?
This position will provide high-level support in the planning, organization, and administration of activities within the Principal Gifts and Campaign Strategy department of the Ball State University Foundation. Provide high-level administrative support for the Foundation’s Chief Advancement Officer and other executive staff. Perform a variety of complex assignments in support of the day-to-day operations. This position involves frequent contact with donors, external constituents, and internal colleagues in order to coordinate fundraising efforts within the university.
Minimum qualifications: Associate’s degree or equivalent in business administration or related field. Three years in development or related experience working with external constituents. Strong organization, management, and interpersonal skills together with computer literacy, including familiarity with database management; strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to work as part of an organization without direct daily supervision; ability to work as a team member in a complex institution; a high level of discretion and ability to work with sensitive and confidential information is necessary.
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred qualifications: Bachelor’s degree. Over five years of experience in development; donor relations, volunteer management, event planning, marketing, public relations, or related experience; experience with donors and alumni. Self-motivation and the ability to motivate others, including staff, faculty and volunteers.
