Abingdon & Witney College is a national award-winning college delivering Further Education, apprenticeships, professional, and Higher Education, alongside adult learning across Oxfordshire. Our vision, ‘Be You. Be Extraordinary’, embodies our goal to enable all our students and staff to become the best versions of themselves.

The Events and School Liaison Coordinator is an exciting and unique role within our college that plays a critical part in building relationships with schools, their communities, and businesses. You will be responsible for presenting the college to groups of potential students, helping them to understand their options following completion of their GCSEs. You will also organise a wide range of internal and external events for the college.

The successful candidate would be based in Abingdon but would spend a large amount time representing Abingdon & Witney College at external events. Travel across Oxfordshire and occasionally into neighbouring counties is required as a

regular part of the role. Many of the schools’ events take place outside of normal working hours, usually evenings but also occasional weekend working. The ideal candidate will be willing to manage their working hours flexibly, although overtime is not paid TOIL is!

You will work with and be supported by the marketing team and the wider college. Whilst experience in a similar role would be beneficial, we can provide full training for the right candidate. The ideal candidate could benefit from having some experience of working with young people, presenting to large and small groups, and have exceptional organisational and event planning skills.

Some of the events that you will cover do take place outside of your normal working hours. Whilst you would be provided time off as toil to compensate, the right candidate must have the ability to be able to work flexibly.
