Department Summary | Transportation Services supports the University’s mission by maximizing campus access through environmentally sustainable practices, superior customer service, and through innovation and professional management of parking and transportation resources and facilities. |

Position Overview | Effectively manages, directs, and oversees parking, transportation and logistical support for events on university campus to ensure successful outcomes for internal and external stakeholders. Directs and oversees staff to have equipment/signage needs in place. Manages and tracks revenue for events, and other associated expenses. |
Coordinate all aspects of parking and transportation services for large and small event management for internal and external clients. |
Coordinate contract negotiations and preparations for all parking and transportation events |
Coordinate event logistics, timelines, meetings, and marketing tasks |
Provide on-site event management and supervision of support staff during events |
Asses events, initiatives, and programs by utilizing assessment and research tools. Seeks client and/or participant evaluations |
Liaison between high profile campus stakeholders including the President’s Office |
Responsible for event-related fiscal management tasks including tracking revenue |
Prepare and manage event budgeting, financial and asset management tasks and routines |
Ensures subordinates comply with policies, appropriate statutes, safety guidelines, procedures, receive appropriate training, and development to enhance/improve performance. |
Ensures completion of employee performance reviews consistent with policy and deadlines. Provides appropriate feedback and coaching to direct reports and ensures they perform same. |
Minimum Qualifications | Bachelor’s Degree and two years of professional experience related to event planning; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience. |

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities | • Excellent written and oral communication skills. • Demonstrated event management skills. • Excellent customer service skills. • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. • Knowledge of safety and security precautions appropriate to work performed. • Ability to work on call during events including nights and weekends. • Ability to work effectively in a high stress people-oriented environment. • Demonstrated skill in computer use and related software programs. |
