As an EHS Manager you will have the opportunity to help outline the safety program and modernize the changes taking effect in the facility.  Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by continuing the cultural shift of safety that the facility has been working towards.  The team you will be working with is experienced, close-knit, and always willing to help, and values people who are willing to jump in and take action and initiative.

So, what will you be doing as an EHS Manager?

  • This role will be responsible for Environmental Health and Safety oversight.
  • This position reports to the Regional EHS Manager.
  • With a dotted line to the facility Branch Manager, this person will work with internal company functions and appropriate external safety management service providers, such as insurance carriers, brokers, and consultants, to sustain EHS best practices and processes.
  • In addition, the EHS Manager will be responsible for developing succinct and meaningful safety management reports to company leadership to measure EHS performance and appropriately direct efforts.
  • This role will also coordinate with the company’s claims management and risk management functions to foster a robust and safety-focused culture throughout the company.
  • In addition, they will ensure risk controls are in place to reduce or eliminate the frequency and severity of future claims to reduce the ‘company’s total cost of risk.
  • This position requires potentially working and being available all hours of the day and every day of the week.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • 4-year degree in EHS Management, EHS Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or similar degree
  • Minimum 3years of experience overseeing environmental/safety/health/loss prevention efforts.

Things we consider a plus

  • Manufacturing, distribution, and consumer product EHS experience a plus.
  • CSP or similar professional designation is a plus.
  • Attendance/Punctuality – Is consistently at work and on time.
  • Quality – Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; maintains a clean and organized
  • work environment.
  • Quantity – Meets productivity standards; Completes work in a timely manner; Strives to increase productivity.
  • Safety – Observes all safety procedures and policies; Reports potentially unsafe
  • conditions to supervisor; Uses equipment and materials properly.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions.
