Job Description
Primary Duties
WSP’s Education Specialist (SPCM) will assist in the development of educational materials for the WOW! education curriculum and assist WSP staff in training WSP Corpsmembers during WSP’s Regional Training(s) in December. Under the direction of the Program Manager, the Education Specialist is responsible for performing the following duties:
- Research and develop educational lessons, to be used by WSP Corpsmembers in Title I classrooms.
- Inventory, distribute, and manage WSP’s education materials both physical and on-line resources.
- Assist in the creation of training materials for WSP’s Regional Training.
- Assist in the facilitation of Regional Training, training Corpsmembers on curriculum content and classroom management techniques.
- Maintain clear records and processes of WOW! curriculum and lesson plans.
- Assist WSP staff with program needs at Orientation.
- Perform general office duties such as copying, scanning, faxing, and filing.
- Assist with maintaining all WOW! education files, including sorting, organizing, and filing, creating new, and archiving.
- Maintain effective communication with WSP and CCC staff.
- Occasionally drive state vehicles and support program events.
