OSU Ecampus is seeking two enrollment services specialists to join our Marketing and Enrollment Services (MES) team.

About the position:

The enrollment services specialist will provide a personal connection to Oregon State University for prospective Ecampus students. In this position, you’ll support prospective students from the point of inquiry through the completion of their application. You’ll help prospective students navigate institutional resources and you’ll regularly respond to complex questions related to academic programs and university policies/procedures.

This position is highly collaborative with colleagues across the various Ecampus units and our campus partners. You’ll assist in developing and updating prospective student communications and marketing materials, provide updated information for the website and the Ecampus student success team, and work with our corporate education unit to onboard new corporate collaborators. In these collaborations, your responsibility will be to ensure the prospective student’s voice and perspective are represented.

Job duties include:

  • Respond to inquiries from prospective students via phone, email, and social media, communicate with campus partners on behalf of prospective students to provide answers, and navigate campus resources
  • Advise prospective students on policies and processes involved with admissions, enrollment, registration, transferring credits and proactively reach out to applicants with incomplete applications to provide support and information
  • Represent Ecampus at recruitment events, both on and off-campus, virtually, and in presentations to campus partners
  • Participate on project work teams to improve the prospective student experience, advocate to remove barriers for online learners, and suggest improvements to processes/procedures
  • Engage in professional development activities to maintain knowledge of best practices in higher education enrollment, customer service, and marketing

Required qualifications:

  • Two years of technical or professional-level experience advising and/or instructing the public concerning specific programs or processes, monitoring programs, or performing participant reviews.
  • Experience with individualized customer service and relationship-building.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications.
  • Exceptionally high accuracy level and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, setting and meeting personal deadlines.
  • Experience managing multiple programs, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Experience with word processing, email, spreadsheets, and database systems.
  • Demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.
  • Experience participating in and/or leading teams.
  • Successfully complete a criminal history check

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree of choice.
  • Experience working with non-traditional learners.
  • Experience working in higher education and serving prospective or current students
  • Experience with BANNER, Datawarehouse, and CORE(data management system), and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.

Pay rate: $19.51/hour – $29.71/hour, typically, the starting salary is at the lower end of the salary range.

Job type: Full time, classified staff position

Work schedule: Typical work week, Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Location: Corvallis, OR. This position will likely start remotely due to COVID-19 restrictions, when on-campus activities resume this position will be expected to work from our office on the Corvallis campus.
