Full-Time Engineering Technician

Job Description

We are searching for a(n) Engineering Technician within our Home Furniture Business Unit at Leggett & Platt. Our global Home Furniture business combines a customer focus with innovative manufacturing capabilities to create full package solutions for products you use every day. As an Engineering Technician, you will have the opportunity to assist and support Engineering to assemble design prototypes, fitting components into finished products for testing, monitoring tests and collecting and report data.

 

So, what will you be doing as an Engineering Technician?

  • Assemble prototypes
  • Assist in the set up and monitoring of tests
  • Collect and report test results
  • Assist Engineering with other related activities

 

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • Basic mechanical and/or electrical hands-on experience
  • Basic troubleshooting capabilities
  • Working knowledge of simple measuring devices
  • Ability to communicate with and work closely with Technical Peers

 

Things we consider a plus:

  • 2+ years experience in electrical or mechanical trade role
  • Minimum of 2 years community college curriculum in electronics, mechanical engineering, or other technical training that would apply.
