Full-Time ENERGY PROJECT MANAGER – FIXED TERM
Job Description
The HEY LEP is looking to appoint a proactive and highly organised Energy Projects Manager to lead Hull and East Yorkshire’s representation within the North East and Yorkshire (NEY) Energy Hub and support the delivery of local energy strategy.
This full-time position will work with the two local authorities and other partners, including colleagues within the Energy Hub, to identify, stimulate and prepare for delivery a pipeline of local energy projects for investment from public and private sources.
The appointed person will be an advocate for the area’s local energy strengths and opportunities. They will develop and maintain strong relationships with the local authorities and wider energy community in the area and will play a pivotal role in supporting the implementation of local energy strategy, identifying and leading a collaborative response to opportunities that would support delivery.
Duties include monitoring Government energy policy and funding announcements, identifying opportunities for the area and co-ordinating the response where required; supporting partner organisations to develop and realise local energy projects; monitoring and reporting as required the progress of relevant projects in achieving their objectives.
