Global Financial Firm located in Tampa, FL has an immediate contract opportunity for an experienced ELK Analyst

“This role is currently work-from-home and will move to the office environment after the COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.”
You will need to have reliable internet, computer and android or iphone for remote access into the client systems during remote work

Business Overview:
ISG is reference data hub, data analytics, Data Fabric, Data reporting and Reconciliation organization providing reference data across the bank. ELK Engineer will be reporting to the Solutions Architect and Technology Lead of Estate Management – managing Engineering best practices, liaison with organization wide partners and providing solutions across ISG. This will include path towards digitization with reduction in manual touch points and follow straight through processing. Selected candidate will work closely with business & technology in analyzing business problem, solution and execution along with regular follow up with other members within the organization. Successful Candidate will have background in both business and technology with an extensive understanding of Elastic Search. Candidate will be responsible, able to articulate quickly in identifying obstacles along with innovative solution followed by regular status to the manager.
Job Purpose:
• Evaluating, identifying and developing software solutions using ELK
• Setting up ELK Clusters, maintain them and troubleshoot
• Documenting and recording every aspect of a software tool or usage in the application
• Training and overseeing the activities of the other members of the team
• Locating and directing solutions for critical challenges involving software and hardware interfaces
• Developing good working relationships with other team members, within the group and across the organization
• Transparency, Issues, escalating exceptions and meeting stringent deadlines
• Building of Project Plans, timely execution of the project plan, Managing team across the Globe

Job Background/context:
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
• Working closely with team members Globally members from technology and business in providing solution architecture
• To coordinate and expedite the on-boarding of new projects, documenting requirements, architecting solutions and developing appropriate project plans
• To setup and manage projects in Elastic Search and support/maintain based on requirements
• Having regular meeting with manager and technology stake holders on current projects
• Monitoring of Engineering Excellence standards, promoting STP and monitoring reduction in MTP, helping in volume testing across the organization to full fill compliance requirements

Key Responsibilities:
• Deploy, configure, test, and troubleshoot Elastic Search clusters and environments
• Maintain and upgrade Elastic clusters and environments
• Perform Elastic cluster performance monitoring, and analyze metrics for improvements
• Analyze and optimize cluster infrastructure and configurations for deploying a secure, high performance Elastic Search clusters
• Participate on calls with stakeholders to understand the requirements and dependencies for the elastic clusters
• Work with other team members to collaborate, train, and develop skills
Applications Support:
• Respond to customer requests for use cases and provide full support / consultation for better implementation of engineering standards and execution.
• Maintain flexible work schedules, which may include evenings, weekends or holidays to work globally and provide trainings where required
• Document all technical inquiries, develop and review content for knowledgebase using tool set and validation and Checkout.

Person Specification
Knowledge/Experience:

Essential : Experience installing, configuring, and supporting multi-tenant ELK setups. Project Management Skills, Client Communication, Development to enable strategic solutions within corporate environment, Flexible Schedule

Skills : (technical skills)

Essential: Elastic Search, Linux, Log Analysis, Performance Analysis

Desirable: Kibana Visualization, Cloud technologies

Qualifications: (degree/certifications)

Essential: Engineering Graduate with 12 – 14 years of working experience

Desirable: Post Graduate with 8 years of working experience working independently Competencies (soft skills you are looking for in a candidate)

• Develop Elastic Search clusters for indexing heterogeneous datasets and searching/analyzing indexed data
• Experience monitoring Elastic Search clusters and develop solutions to mitigate performance risks
• Rapidly adapt and respond to changes in environment and priorities
• Experience with scaling Elastic Search clusters to meet growth
• Experience with Elastic Search mapping & its optimization for performance
• Experience with Elastic Search Query DSL
