Full-Time Electrical Mechanical Technician
Job Description
This position is an hourly, non-exempt position with a full benefits package. Current compensation range is $27.85 – 31.82 per hour. This will be increasing 4% as of 1/1/2023.
This position performs a variety of routine and complex skilled work to operate, maintain and assist with installation of electric systems. Work involves responsibility for performance of skilled electrical tasks in the operation, inspection, maintenance, repairs and assistance with installation to electrical and electronic systems in the Water Filtration Plant, pumping stations, elevated towers, and other locations as required. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Water Filtration Plant Manager or Utilities Operations Manager and is independent in the absence of a supervisor. This position may act as lead worker to Water Filtration Plant employees or temporary staff as assigned.
Qualified candidates will have an Associate’s Degree in Instrumentation Technology with a minimum of four years of experience in electro-mechanical maintenance work involving pumps, motors, gear boxes, transmissions and related equipment. Possess and maintain certification as Waterworks Operator Grade 1, Class S, and D by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources within one year of employment and maintain a valid driver’s license.
