Full-Time Electrical Engineer

We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for an Electrical Engineer within our Porter International Production team to help support our Global Systems Group business.. As a(n) Electrical Engineer you will have the opportunity to review product design for compliance with electrical engineering principles. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by designing electrical circuits and build prototypes to prove concepts. So, what will you be doing as a(n) Electrical Engineer?
- Designing electrical circuits and building prototypes to prove concepts
- Programming various PLCs (i.e. Phoenix, IDEC, A‐B, Mitsubishi, etc.)
- Programming in IEC
- Demonstrating knowledgeable in servo sizing and selection
- Demonstrating knowledgeable in design and program coordinated motion systems
- Performing engineering calculations
- Creating and revising detailed drawings and bill of materials
- Ensuring component introduction and change management activities are effectively completed and communicated
- Preparing test procedures and protocols for technicians
- Documenting test results and generate high level summary reports
- Working with others outside of engineering (i.e. manufacturing, purchasing, vendors, etc.)
- Reviewing product design for compliance with electrical engineering principles
- Demonstrating knowledgeable of UL and CE standards and work with Test Laboratories on getting product certified
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
- 2‐3 years Electrical Engineering experience
- Demonstrated experience in many of the listed responsibilities
- Willing to travel domestically and internationally, and communicate and interact effectively with customers and suppliers
