CHELCO is seeking a UP Contract Specialist to play a pivotal role in supporting our Utilities Privatization (UP) Contract at Eglin AFB. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with a diverse team, providing essential administrative support to our Director of Engineering & Operations and other UP contract personnel.
This Position:
CHELCO, a member-owned electric cooperative, is looking for a friendly, professional, & detail-oriented individual to provide administrative support, analyze work orders, and act as a liaison between CHELCO staff, base personnel, and external partners. In this role you will serve as a point of contact for base personnel, utility providers, contractors, and vendors, generate & maintain UP contract records, and manage office processes such as utility and dig permits, badge and base access records to support our Engineering & Operations team.
Experience with Federal Contracts, Utilities Privatization, Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR’s), Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR’s) preferred. Must have knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures, proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, provide excellent customer service and communication skills. Must meet requirements for and maintain military base access privileges. Notary Public and Valid Driver’s license preferred.
Eglin UP Contract Specialist Minimum Requirements:
- Position requires a high school diploma and at least three years directly related experience; or Associate’s Degree and two years directly related experience; or a Bachelor’s Degree and at least one year directly related experience; or a Master’s Degree in a related field.
- Our normal office hours are Monday to Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The primary work location is Eglin, AFB, FL, and remote work is not an option for this position. Occasional travel within CHELCO’s service territory required. Infrequent work outside of normal business hours may be required for training, meetings, storm response, etc. The position is non-exempt and reports to the Director of Engineering & Operations – Eglin AFB.
