WHAT DOES CRISIS RESPONSE NETWORK, INC. DO?

Crisis Response Network, Inc. is an award-winning nonprofit that operates a 24/7 crisis line serving Maricopa county as well as Northern Arizona.  Our mission is to Inspire Hope through our talented and compassionate staff.

Since 2007, CRN has been providing crisis contact center services and in that short time has helped thousands of individuals and families connect to the help they need. Additionally, in that short timeframe, CRN has grown to expand services to a peer-run Warm Line, Serious Mental Illness (SMI) determinations, mobile team dispatches, crisis transportation services, emergency room-based assessments, Department of Child Safety (DCS) rapid response and crisis stabilization services, telephone follow-up to those who need it, tragedy support lines and other in-kind services to the community.

WHAT WOULD YOU BE DOING?

The Education & Training Specialist I assists with the design, facilitation, evaluation and tracking of CRN’s educational programs. Assists with projects and efforts to improve overall organization performance and development. Facilitates education and training initiatives delivered through a variety of methodologies and tools that supports the overall strategic direction of the organization.

Assists in the facilitation of training programs and initiatives. Training programs include, but are not limited to COVID-19 Vaccine Hotline, 2-1-1 Arizona, Mental Health First Aid, Cultural Competency, SafeTALK, Applied Suicide Intervention and Skills Training (ASIST), New Employee Orientation.
In collaboration with subject-matter-experts, creates and designs content including trainings, help guides and procedures. Utilizes programs including but not limited to; PowerPoint, Publisher, Word, Prezi.
Incorporates instructional techniques to develop training materials in various formats and suggests revisions when applicable.
Identifies learning styles to create an interactive training environment with the ability to simplify and breakdown complex training processes into manageable steps.
Continually strives to be on the cutting edge of Organizational Development- reviews and analyzes industry best practices, employee surveys and/or focus group feedback to address employee concerns.
Helps drive efforts by analyzing data and identifying key insights to make improvements.
Tracks and reports on training outcomes and maintains training records.
Markets training opportunities to behavioral health agencies, schools, nonprofits, corporations, and other local businesses.
Follows up with employees during their first 90 days and provides refresher training on current and new procedures as needed to ensure they remain successful.
Assists in assessing training effectiveness to ensure incorporation of taught skills and techniques into employees work.
Periodically evaluates ongoing training programs to ensure that they reflect any changes in policies and procedures.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree or equivalency and two years of relevant experience.                                            Specifications: Experience in education, training, behavioral health, communications or related field.
1-2 years of experience in education, training, behavioral health, communications or related fields; Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools and techniques; Knowledge of instructional design theory and learning principles; Experience with coordinating and facilitating diversity and inclusion training and activities preferred.
Is open to being an active learner, participating in discussions with others, trying new approaches and ideas, and being self-aware and self-reflective for continual personal, professional and leadership growth.
Strategically plans for diversity initiatives as they relate to Human Resources, including talent acquisition, development and retention.
Actively promotes staff development by initiating and encouraging communication with employees about issues of diversity and discrimination.
Supports activities of CRN’s Diversity and Inclusion Taskforce.

Acts in a professional manner at all time and maintains appropriate boundaries with clients and staff.
Reports to work, meetings, training, and job related activities prepared and as scheduled.
