Full-Time E-Commerce Software Engineer

Encentiv Energy encourages employees to shine, and we are looking to add an E-commerce Software Engineer to our team. This role will develop innovative solutions for new and existing technologies with responsibilities including:
- Own the architecture for software integration into partner third-party e-commerce platforms
- Design, build and maintain plugins/integrations for third-party e-commerce platforms and related systems
- Collaborate with internal API and infrastructure teams to deliver high quality and performance e-commerce solutions
- Work with internal Customer Success team members and with customer technical teams to guide integrations from initial engagement to production deployment
- Design data models and software roadmaps for optimal performance to meet critical product and business requirements
- Contribute to shared data engineering tools and standards to improve productivity and quality of output
- Improve data quality by using and enhancing existing internal tools to automatically detect issues
- Execute additional responsibilities, as assigned
Qualifications for this position generally include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years of experience with e-commerce platforms (Magento, Shopify, BigCommerce, Epicor, etc.)
- Experience working with REST/GraphQL and other API paradigms
- Demonstrable programming skills, including the ability to take a project from scoping requirements through product launch
- Pragmatic, entrepreneurial attitude and delivery focused mindset
- Solutions-oriented thinking for a fast-paced, rapidly changing industry
- Professional, interpersonal communication skills for both internal and external audiences
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills

This role may be based in our Pittsburgh office or remotely in Ohio, Illinois, or Washington state.
