Title: E-commerce Platform Manager
Hours: Full-time
Location: Brooklyn, NY or Remote. (BioLite has a hybrid work model where employees are in the office 2-3 days per week.)
Reports to: Ecommerce Team
Compensation: Salary range is $65,000 to $75,000 depending on candidate experience. Our full offer includes benefits like fully covered healthcare, company bonus plan, and equity stock options.

This Role:
BioLite is looking for an experienced Platform Manager to help us expertly build our e-commerce businesses. Our direct business is in aggressive growth mode so we’re excited to bring on a team member with the singular focus of maintaining and growing one of our most valuable product assets. You have an eye for detail and enjoy working collaboratively across departments (marketing, operations, customer service, design) to dig into issues and propose solutions.
You Will: (These are the tasks you’ll handle on a daily basis)
Daily Site Health & Maintenance
- Ensure pricing is accurate across our storefronts.
- Monitor and resolve any downtime issues with our core platform or plugins.
- Monitor performance across our storefronts.
- Monitor inventory and ensure proper messaging is displayed on PDPs when items are out of stock.
- Ensure data connections are functioning properly.
- Manage functionality of pop-ups and email acquisition efforts.
- Manage store plugins such as Bazaarvoice, Affirm and Extend. Work with the eCommerce team to ensure performance is properly reported.
- Monitor and update post-purchase communications through Klaviyo and Aftership.
- Work with Shopify Merchant Manager & Shopify Communications to stay up to speed on new features and functionality.
Sale & Promotional Management
- Program promotional messaging in advance of campaign.
- Create and activate discounts.
- Cross-check pricing accuracy across our product portfolio.
- Monitor discount code usage and accuracy.
New Product Launches
- Work with eCommerce and operations to set up new SKUs in Shopify and map to Netsuite.
- Ensure products are merchandised on the proper collections and landing pages.
- Work with marketing and design to build PDPs, bundles and integrations.
- Collaborate with our Customer Service team to ensure the proper connections are made between Shopify and Zendesk.
Major Site Projects
- Work with marketing team to identify potential areas of improvement.
- Work directly with external agency and development partners to implement major website updates (new plug ins, UI/UX improvements, navigation redesigns etc).
- Help implement tools and reporting structures to monitor performance of new initiatives.
You Have:
- 4+ years experience with direct business platforms with 2+ years and specific proficiency in Shopify.
- A willingness to sweat the small stuff. This position requires detailed sweeps of the website and diligence in optimizing performance wherever possible.
- Experience using project management tools such as Asana to prioritize bugs and planned implementations
- General knowledge of ecomm trends and best practices
- An understanding of how to monitor site speed, performance, and accessibility
