Full-Time Drop Ship Supervisor

Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Drop Ship Supervisor, you’ll support the department in creating and fostering close relationships with our vendors to manage item profitability, vendor compliance and inventory levels, plus do a bunch of fun stuff. You’ll have 3-4 direct year-round reports, and you’ll be responsible for monitoring, mentoring, and motivating this team. You’ll manage resources (team members, vendors, etc.) to achieve metric targets, and you’ll attend both team meetings and cross-departmental meetings to update the teams on our performance.

The Drop Ship Supervisor reports to the Drop Ship Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Organize workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks
  • Provide support, mentoring, and guidance to the team, both remotely and in person
  • Process redesign, input into tech projects and create business cases/ROI for change
  • Represent the department at key meetings
  • Supervise daily exceptions with customer orders, ensuring vendors are made aware of recurring issues and driving improvements in the customer experience
  • Monitor team productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching
  • Actively support issue resolution process in regard to vendor performance
  • Deliver solution-based results on complex vendor issues
  • Work to continually foster and grow relationships between departments

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years leadership and coaching experience
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Proficiency with Excel
  • Flexibility is needed; we have extended hours, including weekends, during our peak season. A 6-day workweek is required during November and December.
