Full-Time Document Control Coordinator
Job Description
Summary:
The Document Control Coordinator supports the site Quality Assurance Department in ensuring that the production operates in accordance with all legal and regulatory requirements and all Ferring standards relating to GMPs
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for receipt, organization, maintenance, issuance, distribution, and storage of controlled documents.
- Maintain inventory of controlled documents.
- Manage off-site storage of controlled documents.
- Assist with document retention and destruction according to company policy.
- Perform scanning or imaging of documents.
- Ensure an organized environment for easy access to all documents in a timely manner.
- Assist in preparation and generation of production batch records and logbooks.
- Retrieval of documents during audits and regulatory inspections.
- Coordinate communications regarding documentation control
- Works directly with other departments to maintain data within systems.
- Provide a “Customer Service” approach when interacting with internal and external customers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Associate degree preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1 year document control related experience in a cGMP (pharmaceutical or biotech) environment.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
- Strong computer skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications and the ability to learn and use various software packages.
- Experience with document management systems.
- Familiarity with GMPs/SOPs.
- Experience with electronic document management systems preferred.
- Good Documentation Practice (GDP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) knowledge
- Excellent organizational skills with close attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
