The Waldorf School of Philadelphia is seeking a consultant who is an expert in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) to support our community as we take our next steps toward becoming an inclusive, diverse and diversity-responsive, anti-racist institution.
The ideal candidate:
- is an experienced trainer and community builder
- understands the culture of independent schools
- is a skilled communicator adept at building rapport with diverse community members, including children
- will commit to working with us for approximately 3-5 months, starting August, 2020
In collaboration with school leadership, tasks include:
- Develop, conduct, analyze, and share the results of an equity inventory/climate assessment and recommend a plan of action based on the results
- Create a job description, and help us conduct a search, for a part-time DEI Officer to join our school this fall
- Offer trainings for and hold conversations with the community, including faculty, staff, students, parents
- Provide strategy and accountability sessions for school leadership.
