FTE: 1.0

Salary Range: $99,583 – $115,484

Essential Functions and Objectives:

Creates the conditions for students to learn and thrive in an equitable environment through whole child supports including transformative social emotional academic learning (TSEAL), trauma informed, restorative practices and

Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) systems. Drives team toward a whole child approach to achieving high levels of academic growth and achievement for all students.

– Leads for the implementation of transformative social emotional academic learning (TSEAL) practices for students’ social emotional well being and agency based on social-emotional and mental health data and student performance data.

– Improves and implements trauma informed and restorative practices to create the conditions that allow students to learn and thrive.

– Develops and implements a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) to create consistency across the District in how targeted support is provided to students for academics, social-emotional needs and behavior.

– Supports district-wide efforts to create a work environment that prioritizes team members’ social-emotional development, mental health and a sense of belonging and connection.

– Provides supervision to direct reports, including effective performance management, ongoing coaching and feedback, and strategic planning guidance and oversight; establishes a clear vision for how whole child supports are provided to schools and sets clear, measurable and coherent annual team goals.

Knowledge, Experience & Other Qualifications:

– Minimum four (4) years teaching in relevant subject areas; experience working in an urban district with diverse student needs and demographics.

– Three (3) years of relevant leadership experience.

– Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.

– Experience in analyzing data, and using this data to for process and program improvements and to inform strategy.

– Outstanding facilitation and communication skills, including ability to inspire others.

– Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including the ability to lead a high-performing team.

– Superior leadership, coaching and mentoring skills.

– Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with individuals at all different levels in the organization.

– Self-starter/leader who can anticipate department needs in a proactive (versus, reactive) manner.

– Strategic planning and organizational development knowledge and skills.

– Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals, establish priorities, and organize resources.

– Ability to motivate and influence others.

Education Requirements:

– Bachelor’s degree required in education or related field.

– Master’s degree in education preferred.
