Full-Time Director, Partnership Sales

Job Description

Athletes Unlimited is a new model of pro sports where athletes are decision-makers and individual players are champions of team sports. We literally change the game with faster play, and a new draft and team rosters every week, delivering next-level competition and engagement in which every moment counts. With women’s softball, volleyball and lacrosse as part of the roster and with basketball to launch in 2022, Athletes Unlimited will build the next generation of both athletes and fans.

Athletes Unlimited is looking for a Director, Partnership Sales to lead and support sales efforts of the Athletes Unlimited network of professional sports leagues. This role is full-time and will report to the Head of Partnership Marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Lead partnership sales by developing new relationships and generating revenue for existing leagues and new initiatives
  • Identify and develop league-wide assets, programs and packages to maximize Athletes Unlimited value proposition to partners and prospects
  • Establish and implement sales and new business development strategies and personally lead those efforts to develop leads and close sales
  • Attend and lead sales meetings, help craft internal and external documents, manage internal next steps and client facing decks and term sheets
  • Maintain current knowledge of the sponsorship industry landscape, market trends and key category activity across sports, lifestyle and entertainment
  • Maintain entries for respective accounts in CRM system and other sales reporting tools as needed

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of sales experience with a focus and knowledge of integrated partnership development
  • Team, venue and/or brand/agency experience specific to partnerships
  • High-energy individual with a passion for selling
  • Professional presence and demonstrated ability of generating sales leads and closing business
  • Outstanding organizational skills, ability to follow through and capable of meeting deadlines while balancing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced working environment
  • Exceptional oral, written and presentation skills
  • Innovative approach to work to help maintain Athletes Unlimited’s position as a leading creative property
  • Solution oriented, highly motivated and proactive self-starter who works well as both a team member and individual contributor
  • Must be willing to travel to league locations for on-site work

Benefits

This role is full-time, remote, and receives benefits. A base compensation is provided with the opportunity to earn additional compensation on commission.
