Primary Purpose:
Assess and diagnose organizational needs, create change initiatives, and deliver best-in-class organizational development solutions that support the company’s strategic direction and workforce planning needs.. Design, develop and implement various talent and leadership initiatives and programs. Create and execute strategic solutions, with a focus on cultural priorities and workforce sustainability.
- Partner with business leaders to design and implement solutions in the areas of: talent development, talent assessment, talent management, organizational design, culture change, performance management, and employee engagement.
- Manage Organizational Effectiveness (OE), and HR Research/Analytics teams, responsible for delivery of services. Responsible for the development of team members, including hiring, motivating, training, and performance evaluation.
- Work with senior management to determine organizational development and training strategy.
- Establish workforce analytics to identify and analyze operational challenges related to workforce development and engagement. Create solutions consistent with business realities.
- Collaborate with peers on all Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives and partner closely with senior leadership on organizational design.
- Support HR leadership in developing and implementing workforce planning tools and processes
- Perform other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).
Required Qualifications:
- 12 years experience in organizational development, corporate training, and related experience required, including 3 years of supervisory/managerial experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Organizational Development, Human Resources, related field or equivalent training and experience.
- Ability to motivate employees, model the growth mindset, drive innovation and lead change initiatives while maintaining employee engagement.
- Strategic thinker, able to translate company strategy into organizational solutions that address workforce and leadership needs.
- Ability to facilitate senior-level meetings and counsel business leaders on human capital and development topics.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the organization and at all levels of the organization.
- Organized, self-motivated, and capable of working in a rapidly changing environment with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of management.
- Demonstrated capability as a project manager, delivering on complex solutions.
- Strong problem-solving, organization, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency using Word, Excel, Power Point, and Access (database).
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding employee information.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or Master’s Degree in Human Resources Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related field is preferred.
- Understanding of and experience in the utility business.
