Position Title: Director of Youth Programs

The Director of Youth Programs plays a key role in Youth Services’ mission to support youth and families to thrive in their communities by:
● Providing, in collaboration with the Associate Director, department oversight regarding an array of programs that relate to support youth and young adults in Windham County.
● Implements, in collaboration with the Associate Director, best practices to achieve targeted outcomes as required by the department funders.
● Envisions and oversees the expansion of youth-serving services to the broader community outside the focus of our specific funders.
● Serving as a member of the leadership team at Youth Services and to work collaboratively to further the agency’s mission, vision, and core values.

Additional Information
Applicants should ideally have the following skills:
● Demonstrated leadership ability, characterized by collaborative and inclusive approaches to problem-solving and decision making.
● Builds strong, effective productive partnerships with colleagues and community partners
● Understanding funder outcomes and being able to translate them into meaningful practices.
● Advanced understanding of marginalization, privilege, systems of power and oppression and ability to translate this into supportive, strengths-based program development that empowers client voices.
● Highly organized, detail oriented
● Models effective self-care, boundary-setting and stress management
How can I be considered for the position?
You can be considered for this position if you meet the following qualifications:
● Masters Degree in Social Work or related field preferred with at least 3 years direct experience or a Bachelor’s Degree in related field with at least 8 years direct service experience providing intensive case management to youth.
● Experience working with youth and families, including crisis situations.
● Experience managing and training staff in a professional work environment.
● Experience providing trauma-informed supervision
● Experience facilitating group meetings and processes.
● Must have excellent and demonstrated organizational, observation and communication skills, both oral and written.
● Advanced computer and analysis skills including experience with web based applications and databases, Microsoft access, excel, word and Google Apps.

Compensation: $55,000-$60,000 a year and comprehensive benefits
