Full-Time Director of Operations
Job Description
- Determine technology needs required to achieve strategic operational and program objectives. Recommend appropriate changes and/or improvements
- Review management and legal activities such as memorandums of understanding, contracts, leases, and other legal documents and agreements
- Oversee planning and coordination of the monthly all team meeting to drive the priorities of the organization, build team alignment and support an inclusive culture
Recruitment & Talent Development
- Oversee efforts to recruit, train, promote, and retain diverse staff, AmeriCorps VISTA, volunteer and intern positions and ensure a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work place.
- Oversee new team member onboarding to ensure efficiencies.
- Administer and process payroll and employee benefits ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Implement HR policies and procedures that advance the strategic needs of the organization.
- Serve as an expert resource for supervisors on performance management, employee issues, disputes and resolution. Provide coaching/counseling to management and staff.
- Diagnose opportunities for team member learning; in partnership with others, develop and facilitate organization-specific training sessions; assess training effectiveness through evaluations.
- Remain visible and interface with staff on a regular basis to obtain feedback on service levels, solutions and overall satisfaction.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required, and/or 5 years of progressive nonprofit accounting, finance and operations experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience working in the nonprofit accounting, finance and/or budgeting.
- Minimum three years of supervision experience
- High-level understanding of all business functions such as IT, HR, Finance and Accounting, Legal and Marketing
- Experience with government grant compliance
- Experience with CRM’s, QuickBooks, email platforms, and registration systems
- Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
- Willingness to work cooperatively as part of a team, bringing a positive attitude and excellent professionalism and judgement
- Adaptable to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal positively with frequent changes, delays or unexpected events
- Valid Colorado Driver’s License and reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Preferred AmeriCorps service or oversight of AmeriCorps programming
- Demonstrated experience driving diversity, equity and inclusion efforts
- Strong understanding of Colorado’s nonprofit and philanthropic sector
- Strategic, empathetic, fast paced leader
- Proven ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
- Professional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with others
Compensation & Benefits:
This is a full-time position based in CRC’s Denver office. Salary range is $62-$68k and is commensurate with depth of experience and overall qualifications. Benefits include health and dental insurance, long-term disability, and paid time off.
