Overview
The Director of Community, Morning Brew Education will report to the GM of Education and will provide oversight of all activities of the community management team and support the learners of Morning Brew’s educational programs as they learn from one another and our expert talent in the high touch, high intensity experiences we build. Education at Morning Brew is a “startup within a startup” and the Director of Community should have a deep desire/excitement for helping scale something from 0 to 1 and then 1 to 100 as we seek to disrupt the current EdTech landscape.
Morning Brew is based in New York City but this role is remote-friendly for all candidates.
What you’ll do:
– Develop, execute and revise our community management program, establishing touchpoints and processes for community within the entire ecosystem from prospective and current students to expert talent and other stakeholders of our programming
– Understand and articulate the success metrics of each community using a data-driven approach, monitor, manage and report on these success metrics regularly to ensure high quality results
– Recruit, assess, retain and manage a team of top performing community managers
– Nurture relationships with expert talent, secure commitments and monitor engagement to ensure successful and sustainable participation in our programs
– Work with Community Managers to continually improve the quality and quantity of outreach to prospective, current and graduated students through social media, personal outreach and group programming efforts
– Leverage your network and relationship building skills to enhance the quality of guests that contribute to the Morning Brew Education ecosystem across all products, as well as generate overall brand awareness
– Build out an innovative, dynamic, digitally native alumni community that continues to add value to the modern business leaders that graduate from our products
What makes you qualified:
– Fluency in business strategies, business models, and timely business news
– Minimum of 7 years professional experience in community management roles
– Prior team management experience a must
– Ability to think analytically, understand metrics and adjust strategy accordingly
– Comfortable navigating different topics and norms of any geo/sector/topic
– Persuasive communicator in multiple forms, especially in writing and presenting before groups of all sizes
– An insatiable desire (and the ability) to continuously learn
– Masters in Business Administration, Psychology, Education or equivalent degree /professional experience preferred
