Job Description

Are you ambitious, driven, committed and creative? Do you have extensive communications / PR skills and experience? Would you like to make your mark on a multi-award-winning charity at a time of ambitious development and growth? An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Create’s Senior Management Team in the important role of Director of Communications.

Salary: £41k – £47k per annum dependent on experience.

The Director of Communications reports directly to the Chief Executive and works closely with the Communications Council, a group of communication experts from organisations including Contagious, KPMG, Orlebar Brown, Travis Perkins and venturethree, who donate their time to support the charity. The Director of Communications line manages a Communications Executive and works closely with the Development (fundraising) and Project teams.

The successful candidate will bring extensive communications and PR experience and expertise. This is an exciting time to join Create as we enter our 20th anniversary year (07/07/23), continue to grow our work in the North West and aim to double our reach by our 25th birthday in 2028. Create was named Charity Times Charity of the Year in 2020, and collected the Digital Transformation of the Year award in 2021 following our response to the pandemic.
