Job title: Director of Buildings and Guest Services
Salary range: £66,037 – £73,898pa
Type of contract: Permanent
Location: London
Working hours: 35 hours per week
About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Director of Buildings and Guest Services to join our team. This position is a senior leadership role and is based in the Finance & Commercial Directorate. You will be responsible for the management and oversight of all College space, working with key stakeholders across the organisation on management and development of space, and offering potential solutions. You will also be key to helping deliver the Estates Strategy for the College and other initiatives such as net zero strategy.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage facilities and guest services function including a commercial hospitality contract.
2. Lead the current and future maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, building, and site infrastructure to meet the growing needs of the College.
3. Ensure maintenance and energy contracts are procured effectively demonstrating value for money as well as carbon reduction.
4. Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance in relation to the College’s physical estate and engineering assets to avoid significant legal and financial costs, and health and safety implications.
5. Demonstrate active stakeholder management in order to ensure customer satisfaction in the delivery of maintenance and services.
6. Develop and deliver all planned and reactive works.
About you
This position is well-suited to a goal-driven and person who is passionate about improving building safety and environment with proven record of proactive stakeholder management and innovative solutions.
Requirements:
- A Health and Safety Qualification at least to NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent.
- A relevant professional/technical qualification in Facilities and Construction and /or membership of a recognised appropriate institution MRICS, MIWFM or equivalent.
- Extensive experience and relevant knowledge of building services and facilities management, their technologies and impact on the work environment in a complex technical environment.
