Full-Time Director of Assessment and Institutional Research
Job Description
Clark College is currently accepting applications for a full-time, exempt Director of Assessment and Institutional Research. This position reports to the Associate Vice President for Instruction. This role conducts evidence-based research and studies on the college through the collection, analysis and evaluation of data for continuous improvement of programs, and for accreditation documentation. The director of assessment and institutional research is also responsible for oversight and leadership of assessment programs for academic and non- academic programs and services.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee outcomes assessment in instructional and non-instructional areas.
- Exercise effective stewardship over college resources.
- Serve as college’s accreditation liaison officer and coordinate college accreditation activities and report creation.
- Serve as chair of data governance committee.
- Serve as chair or member of designated College committees, councils, and teams.
- Oversee internal research and data reporting.
- Assist in building and maintaining data visualization tools (Tableau) for access by various departments.
- Assist in writing reports and documents for NWCCU and other accreditation, institutional research, assessment, or curriculum-related reports.
- Assist with data collection and evaluation for grants and enrollment.
- Conduct evidence-based research.
- Manage administration of all campus surveys.
- Maintain oversight of the assessment functions of the college including designs and data requirements for meeting standards of the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU), the accrediting agency.
- Prepare reports and analytical materials to illustrate objectives, activities, and accomplishments of areas of responsibility.
- Oversee human subjects review and institutional review board.
- Supervise and evaluate classified staff.
- Provide leadership over data visualization and other reporting.
- Provide leadership over external and internal data collection including IPEDS.
- Provide leadership in accordance with the Mission, Vision, Values, and Core themes established by the College to achieve mission fulfillment.
- Facilitate transparency, ethics, compliance, quality, and strategic institutional use of data in alignment with the Clark College mission.
- Ensure areas of responsibility operate effectively within the policies and procedures of the College and applicable governing agencies.
- Work to achieve the core theme of fostering a diverse college community as established by the College.
- Engage in and promote shared governance.
- Oversee and support the development and regular institutional reports on enrollment, persistence, retention, graduation and equity metrics.
- Create a safe, bias-free working environment, which engenders respect for differences.
- Train, supervise, and evaluate employees in accordance with negotiated agreements, applicable state and federal laws, and College policies and procedures
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for operating unit(s).
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience overseeing program assessment and/or institutional research.
- Master’s degree.
Salary Statement: $80,018 annually
