PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Manager of Digital Products and Curricula, US Workforce Development, supports the design, development, delivery, and evaluation of curricula and digital tools for the Youth Opportunity (YO) Program, a workforce development program for youth in the U.S. They will support IYF’s Cornerstone OnDemand Learning Management System (LMS), IYF’s third-party end-user support center, and other identified platforms to ensure the successful operations and delivery of programmatic solutions such as Passport to Success (PTS) Explorer and Passport to Success-Virtual.
The position also manages the use of programmatic solutions by Youth Opportunity’s national and international partners and pursues additional partnerships and platforms for IYF solutions in consultation with the Asset, Strategy, and Knowledge (ASK) Unit. They are responsible for providing training to staff and creating resources for internal and external users to support the successful implementation of programmatic digital and in-person curricula. This full-time position is based in Baltimore, MD, USA.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Curricula, Product and Platform Development and Administration – For the Youth Opportunity Program
- Oversee the technical and operational development of new curricular solutions and platforms related to youth employability and education programs in the U.S.in alignment with IYF’s processes and frameworks and in collaboration with IYF’s technical advisors in Digital, Curricula and Training, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion areas.
- Provide technical support, training, and other resources to internal staff and external partners for successful rollout and implementation of digital solutions developed for the YO project, including but not limited to; PTS Explorer, vTOT, I-Serve, SOAR, and other related solutions.
- Keep abreast of latest EdTech trends and identify new IYF educational solutions or enhancements to improve impact of the YO program. Plan and execute events for YO solution launches as needed.
- Ensure that all products developed integrate a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) lens and a youth engagement and gender equity strategy into their development, testing, and operationalization.
- Support the administration and evolution of Atlas, IYF’s LMS, as a content library and learning ecosystem. Assess and improve the platform under the advisement of the platform owner and provide guidance to staff on utilizing this resource to build technological capacity within the organization.
Partnership and Project Management for the Youth Opportunity Program
- Serve as digital solutions owner for the YO Program and lead the relationship management of partners on these offerings.
- Provide overall management of assigned digital solutions and curricula by developing program and digital solution strategies, identifying partners for implementation and distribution, maintaining a solution roadmap, and tracking progress of solution use.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Communications (MaC) team, communications vendors, and/or corporate partners’ communications teams to develop and deploy an effective communications and solution awareness strategy in support of institutional objectives and program targets.
- Collaborate with IYF’s IT systems, digital development team, and other curriculum development and digital solution owners to ensure resource stewardship and institutional alignment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in instructional technology, education, social sciences, or related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in planning, designing, building, evaluating, and delivering curriculum – including digital and instructor-led programs – as well as online tools
- Extensive experience working with young people, especially from communities of color and low-income populations in the U.S.
- Work expertise in education and/or workforce development programs, including curriculum development and training.
- Experience working with learning management systems. Familiarity with Cornerstone, OnDemand (CSOD) and/or authoring tools such as Articulate Rise, Articulate Storyline, Evolve, or Vyond preferred.
- Experience in developing partnerships and working with national and/or international youth-serving organizations.
- Strong communication skills in English (both oral and written) is required. Fluency in Spanish highly preferred.
- Experience working in cross-cultural and cross-functional environments required.
