We live in a digital world, where we can connect to a myriad of places with our fingertips. At The Nature Conservancy, our goal is to harness the power of digital storytelling to connect people to the natural world around them and to each other. We are seeking a Digital Media Manager to oversee the creation of those digital stories, dissemination across the web and multiple social platforms, and the use of analytics to inform future stories. This person will work with the Director of Strategic Communications to develop digital strategies and goals and will be the main connection to TNC’s Global Digital Team.

 

The Digital Marketing Manager creates and manages content for the Michigan Chapter’s website, social media, email marketing and other digital assets. They work closely with other marketing and communications colleagues and conservation staff within the Michigan Chapter, the Midwest Division and North America Region to tell powerful stories digitally.  They track and analyze digital/social results and reports findings and recommendations to the Director of Strategic Communications. They work closely with the Director to create and implement annual digital plans and a content promotional calendar that increases visibility of The Nature Conservancy across Michigan. They act as Michigan connection to the Global Digital Team. The ideal candidate will have a background and track record that includes:

 

Minimum QualificationsPreferred Qualifications
•   Bachelor’s degree in related field and a minimum of 2 years’ related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

•   Experience managing multiple social media accounts.

•   Experience creating social and website content.

•   Experience working with social media and web analytics (e.g. Google and/or Adobe Analytics).

•   Experience working with videos and multimedia.

•   Experience organizing and coordinating projects.

•   Must be able to obtain related licenses or certifications as required. (e.g. Driver’s License).

•   Experience using Adobe products, including Photoshop, InDesign and Experience Manager.

•   Experience using content management systems and social enterprise tools.

•   Experience with e-mail marketing.

•   Multi-lingual skills appreciated.

•   Multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience preferred.

•   Solid knowledge of word processing, database management and spreadsheet software, with ability to construct and produce reports, use mail merges and advanced functions.

•   Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

•   Basic application knowledge of project management principles.

•   Practical application of marketing concepts.
