Full-Time Digital Marketing Strategist
Job Description
- Develop multi-channel digital marketing strategy plans inclusive of email, social, web, and paid components
- Develop email marketing campaign strategies and collaborate with internal team members to build within marketing automation tools to execute
- Present innovative digital strategies to peers, potential clients, and existing clients
- Working with account teams to create campaign-specific goals by incorporating customer journeys and segmentation modeling as inputs
- Developing digital marketing campaign testing strategies and reporting on the outcome
- Use tools such as Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, Marketing Automation tools like Eloqua, Marketo and Salesforce Marketing Cloud, etc. to export and analyze data
- Execute effective decision-making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format.
- Create reporting that effectively tells the story of full-funnel marketing campaigns and their business impact
- Comfort using marketing automation tools to perform deep-dives to find the root causes behind the variances of key parameters on campaign results.
- Aggregate and analyze large datasets from multiple sources to highlight the impact of marketing’s influence on business objectives (i.e. email engagement data, paid search data, social data, web engagement, and behavioral data)
- Stay up-to-date on developments and trends in marketing technology and marketing automation to provide innovative strategies and use case recommendations to clients
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in advertising, marketing, business, data analytics, or a related field
- 3-5 years of marketing automation/digital marketing experience in an agency environment, preferably with 1-2 years of experience building strategies independently
- Experience building multi-channel campaign strategies that work together including email, web, paid and social
- Experience building digital strategies that utilize personalization and dynamic content components
- Experience with Account-Based Marketing (ABM) and developing strategies to meet those unique business objectives
- Experience working with clients to set full-funnel KPIs and developing reports that match back to those benchmarks on an ongoing basis
- Experience developing email strategies with marketing automation platform considerations in mind
- Expert in Microsoft PowerPoint (role requires most strategies to be built within ppt) and Excel (the ability to analyze data within and use pivot tables)
- Basic understanding of technical SEO and the ability to use tools like Screaming Frog to conduct website SEO analysis
- The ability to work with coworkers across cross-functional teams within the agency and to lead out on projects independently
- Sound communication and facilitation skills to lead projects and positively influence collaborators
- Love of learning and the desire to embody a sense of curiosity and innovation every day
- Experience utilizing marketing automation tools like Marketo, Eloqua or Salesforce Marketing Cloud – certifications in tools is a huge bonus!
- Experience creating personalization or A/B testing strategies utilizing Hotjar, Adobe Target, Optimizely, or Google Optimize
- Experience utilizing Google Optimize
- Technical SEO capabilities and skillset using industry tools like Screaming Frog, Moz, and others
