Immediate opening for Development Associate
Mission Statement: In collaboration with local partners and all affected by abuse, TTD creates innovative responses and mobilizes our community to promote safety and challenge systems of oppression and violence.
Job Summary: The Development Associate engages in specific activities to raise funds to advance TTD’s capacity to achieve its mission related to the issues of domestic and sexual violence, dating violence, human trafficking, and stalking. This is a full-time (40 hours per week) hourly position based out of our administrative office in Cape Elizabeth, ME and will include regular work in the office as well as the community. Compensation starting at $18.00 per hour. TTD offers a generous benefit package for all eligible employees including health and dental coverage, earned time off, sick time, life insurance and pension.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
a. Create and maintain a sustained giving program to encourage a stable and growing pool of individual donors who connect with TTD’s mission.
b. Maintain and improve TTD’s donor database to enhance the organization’s ability to seek and grow individual donor contributions.
c. Create, maintain, and perform the functions of an annual giving campaign for individual donors.
d. Engage with other TTD software and systems (website, social media) to enhance opportunities for giving.
e. Create and maintain other giving opportunities for donors including social media outreach, mass email, and other broadly shared communications.
f. Enhance TTD’s system of donor acknowledgements as part of the effort to encourage future donations and inform supporters of TTD’s mission.
g. Develop and advance program of corporate support including sponsorship and donations.
Education, Training & Other Qualifications
a. Associate’s degree or three year’s relevant professional experience
b. Preference to candidates with experience in E-Tapestry donor database
c. Valid Maine driver’s license and automobile insurance
d. Satisfactory responses from government agencies to required background checks
e. Sensitivity to issues of domestic and sexual violence, dating violence, human trafficking, and stalking
f. Effective written and oral communication skills
g. Basic computer competency
