If so, DE&S have an exciting opportunity for you to join their Wildcat Team as an Engine Support Engineer.
The Wildcat Team is responsible to the Front-Line Commands for the In-Service support of the Wildcat AH Mk1 for the Army and the Wildcat HMA Mk2 for the Royal Navy. The Army Wildcat can be employed in a whole host of roles including ISTAR, Airborne Command and Control, Close Air Support, Medical Evacuation, and the Movement of Personnel and Material.
As an Engine Support Engineer, you will act as the front desk of the Engine Team and be the first point of contact on engine related queries and issues. You will be responsible for collating all incoming enquiries, answering those day-to-day queries within your scope of work and maintaining a record of those that require further action on a number of different systems as required.
Please note that due to the nature of the projects involved, this role is open to SOLE UK NATIONALS only.
Responsibilities
• Assist in the day to day support of the CTS800-4N engine
• Task suppliers with technical queries on their investigations and publications amendment requests.
• Manage all engine related safety records, ensuring all safety issues are fully documented with supporting evidence.
• Assist in identifying and mitigating any hazards exposed.
• Produce reports and updates on various engine related statistics including engine and component lifting consumption and rejections rates.
• Assist in writing various servicing instruction and reports.
• Responsible for maintenance of the Engine Team’s files, record keeping, and general filing of documents as required.
What you will be assessed against
To be found successful you must demonstrate the following essential criteria:
• HND/NVQ Level 4 qualification in an Engineering/Science related discipline OR substantial equivalent work experience
• Engineering experience in the Air Domain
It would benefit your application should you be able to demonstrate the following desirable criteria:
• Previous experience in an Engine Support Engineer role
• Previously held a Letter of Airworthiness Authority (LoAA) or a similar delegation
• Risk Management experience
