A highly rewarding and progressive opportunity to join the Talent Acquisition Team as it continues in the transformation of its service.

Taking the best from the commercial environment and combining this with strong public service ethos the aim is to become a leading, highly specialist and professional team that operates within a matrix environment.

The team identifies, attracts and secures external talent needed for DE&S to deliver critical programmes of work to our Armed Forces. The Talent Acquisition team is part of our busy HR function and is integral in ensuring the business is delivering against its resource needs across 9 disciplines and over 50+ locations. Working in collaboration, you will be responsible for campaign and candidate management throughout the whole recruitment lifecycle from advertising through to on-boarding. You will develop innovative adverts for various media platforms, search the market for the best external talent and speak to applicants to ensure a first-class candidate experience.

This role offers excellent future prospects including the potential involvement with wider aspects of talent acquisition as part of its continuous improvement and transformation and therefore the potential to develop within the organisation.

Responsibilities

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist key responsibilities will include:

• The full recruitment cycle from brief to sourcing, arranging interview, making offers and candidate on boarding.
• Writing adverts and posting on relevant job boards.
• Stakeholder engagement and stakeholder management.
• Involvement with candidate assessments from CV review to interviews.
• Providing feedback to candidates and stakeholders.

What you will be assessed against

To be found successful you must demonstrate the following essential criteria:

• Demonstrable experience of working within a successful fast-paced professional talent acquisition environment.
• Proven ability of dealing with multiple stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Evidence of working and excelling as part of a team.
• Demonstrable ability to prioritise workload, working on multiple projects at any one time.
• IT skills to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
