Are you a Risk Manager looking for a challenging and diverse role? Are you keen to have a career development? We are looking for a number of Risk Manager’s to work in Abbeywood, Bristol.
Your role will be to manage project risk through Threats Opportunities and issues identification, quantification, management, and analysis across medium complexity and medium risk projects or for a portfolio of lower complexity and risk projects.
Please note that due to the nature of one of the roles, it will only be available for SOLE UK nationals.
Responsibilities
Your mains roles and responsibilities will include:
• Facilitate risk workshops on medium complexity and medium projects to identify & manage specific project / programme related Threats Opportunities and issues.
• To facilitate the collection, organisation and interpretation of complex supplier risk and modelling data for incorporation into DE&S/SDA risk understanding and profiles
• Review and approve detailed project and programme risk reports produced by the risk team to provide quality oversight
• Identify and lead the implementation of continuous improvement of risk management activities
• Supervise the production of all risk management support, including reporting for business assurance
• Oversee the risk tool project and / or programme activities to ensure quality and accuracy of data therein
• Write and maintain Risk Management Plans (RMP)
• Lead the project / programme risk team, including coaching & mentoring of junior members
• Provides the project team with pro-active risk information to allow project team to understand current risk position, risk proximity and pro-active management actions
• To communicate key project threat and opportunity management data to key member of the project, programme and DE&S leadership and to be able to recommend key items for escalation within the business
• To communicate with and influence Leadership within DE&S/SDA Projects and portfolios and Supply chain within the risk technical field
What you will be assessed against
To be found successful you must demonstrate the following essential criteria:
• Level 5 qualification in an associated subject or sufficient relevant experience
• Risk (threats and opportunity) management in a project, programme or portfolio environment
• Utilisation of a variety of Risk Management techniques to improve and drive the successful delivery of projects
• A wide variety of Stakeholder management experience (both internal or external)
It would benefit your application should you be able to demonstrate the following desirable criteria:
• APM Project Risk Management qualification (Level 1 as a minimum)
• Interpretation of complex supplier risk and modelling data
