Corporate Services (CSG) offers a challenging and stimulating variety of work in both delivery and support teams. The function utilises the expertise of eight specialisms that collectively enable the operational day-to-day running of the business to ensure that DE&S/SDA delivers its objectives and maintains compliance with the requirements of being part of a Department of State. We cover: Business Support; Comms, Media & Marketing; Infrastructure & Estate Management; Policy Profession; Sales & Disposals; Occupational Health, Safety & Environment; Quality Management; and Security.

The Corporate Services Group (CSG) Function, Quality Management (QM) Specialism has posts all around the UK and is responsible for ensuring an effective management system of operational governance is in place, mitigating enterprise level risks through a programme of independent assurance of DE&S ways of working and the outputs that are produced.

Responsibilities

In this post you will play a key independent role in developing and delivering Quality Management and Assurance to ISO 9001, and evolving improvement initiatives. Through this function you will participate in an extensive training programme with a long-term goal to gain a MoD Quality Management License followed by Chartered professional status through the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI). You will then become a recognised Government Assurance and Improvement (GAI) subject matter expert.

Your day to day responsibilities will include:

• Manage the Government Quality Assurance approach and ensuring its effectiveness, providing technical advice and guidance
• Working alongside document Sponsors managing and maintaining business processes.
• Providing management support ensuring appropriate management reviews are conducted held and that any appropriate management information is provided and then represent QM at meetings.
• Planning and undertaking independent risk based internal assurance quality audits and completing the reports
• Timely management of stakeholder and customer engagement by arranging meetings and events.
• Management and capture of Root Causes non-conformances, analysing and presenting data trends
• Implementing , managing or maintaining the Business Management System including the Configuration Management of control aspects.
• Implementation or maintenance of ISO 9001 certification
• Collate, present and analyse data to present to Senior management to enable informed decisions
• Improve the awareness of quality, measuring its effectiveness
• Delivery and management of an Improvement projects, taking ownership where appropriate
• Provides shadowing and mentoring opportunities to share knowledge within Domain/OC

What you will be assessed against

To be found successful you must demonstrate the following essential criteria:

• Experience in delivering and quality managing systems and completing Audits
• Experience in communicating with internal and external stakeholders and colleagues.
• Experience in Interpreting Data and Analysis skills
• Experience in Identification and implementation of improvement initiatives
