Responsibilities
As a IT Service Desk Administrator you will be working within the Information Management & Information Technology area, where you will be required to provide end user support in a technically challenging IT environment.
You will:
• Deliver Service desk support activity, gathering customer Information to identify the reason for the call.
• Assess Customer software or hardware issues and attempt resolution or escalate where appropriate, to agreed service standards.
• Action permission requests, asset management, account services, basic information workspace administration.
• Provide technical advice and guidance to Customers.
• Perform initial front-line support to customers across DE&S
• Grow call handling and questioning skills and knowledge of processes and tools.
• Grow your Technical knowledge across the IT landscape and Operational teams.
• Be an active part of the IT Operations community, attend meetings and participate in working groups.
What you will be assessed against
GCSE’s Maths & English grade A – C
Experience of Customer Service, preferably within an IT Support Environment
