An opportunity has arisen to join the Defence, Equipment & Support Joint Services Support Team (JSST) delivering accurate and timely military HR data throughout DE&S.
The JSST sits within the HR Directorate of DE&S and leads on all aspects of military HR within DE&S. This includes military workforce planning, military policy and planning and personnel administration for all military personnel in the Bristol area.
The position is in the military workforce planning pillar of the JSST and will have responsibility for ensuring the validity of all DE&S military establishment changes, managing the production of military management information and the effective transfer of DE&S military data to both existing and future DE&S internal Tools and systems. It will include management responsibility of 6 members of staff.
Responsibilities
As the JSST Data Integrity Manager you will have previous experience of military establishment work and be familiar with the MoD structure and organisation. You will be required to engage with a large and wide range of stakeholders both within DE&S and other MoD TLBs and manage conflicting needs and requirements to achieve agreed solutions. The role will also require the ability to produce, present and interpret military data and ensure accuracy and consistency of military data between a significant number of FLC and DE&S systems often within tight timescales.
The key responsibilities of the post are:
• Leading on delivering the transfer of responsibility to JSST for uploading DE&S military data to the DE&S Deployment Tool (DT) and for the validation and maintenance of all military data once uploaded to the DT. Identifying any error trends and taking corrective action with the DT Team as required.
• Leading on identifying the DE&S military MI requirements for the bespoke DE&S element of the Future HR system. Ensuring that future plans are compatible with military data parameters and any issues are resolved or escalated in a timely fashion.
• Managing and validating DE&S establishment changes actioned by the JSST team providing advice to the DE&S Delivery Teams and liaising with the Front Line Command establishment teams where necessary.
• Validation and production, when necessary, of military HR MI including ad hoc requests. Production of existing monthly DE&S Service Dashboards and design of future Abbey Wood Commanding Officer Dashboard requirements.
• Managing and developing a team of six with Primary Delivery Manager responsibilities for four staff members.
• Providing support as required to other parts of the JSST.
To be considered for this role with DE&S you must demonstrate on your CV the following essential criteria:
• Experience in military establishment work
• Proven Excel skills
The following would be desirable:
• Working knowledge of Joint Personnel Administration system (JPA) and System for Liability Information Management systems (SLIM).
Please note that this role is based onsite at Abbey Wood, Bristol, however With the increased use of Smart Ways of Working there is the opportunity for flexibility to enable the incumbent to work at other locations for periods of time as agreed with the PDM of this post.
