Full-Time Delivery Coordinator

Job Description

Job Summary: Bud & Mary’s transports marijuana and/or marijuana products between all Bud & Mary’s facilities in the state of Massachusetts, between Massachusetts businesses who will contract us as third party transportation, as well as cannabis home deliveries directly to customers. The Delivery Coordinator oversees the delivery staff, including all Transport Agent’s day to day schedules, B&M vehicles, and location assignments. Additionally, the Delivery Coordinator ensures that all delivery-related manifests and required documentation are received and properly filed/uploaded at the start and end of every delivery vehicle shift. In this industry, compliance to state regulation and optimal customer service will set up our organization for long lasting successThis position directly reports to the Director of Distribution of B&M.

Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Adhering to the company mission statement and core values, while maintaining high ethical standards and professionalism.
  • Abiding by the regulations set forth by Cannabis Control Commission regulation 935 CMR 500 and B&M company policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining a friendly, courteous and compassionate demeanor at all times.
  • Cultivating strong relationships with both Transport Agents and Dispensary Partners to reduce the stress that comes with last minute schedule changes.
  • Communicate with the ME dispensary to make sure all needs are met for scheduling.
  • Managing the weekly schedule for Transport Agents.
  • Reviewing Drivers’ logs & monitoring all actual versus scheduled arrival/delivery times
  • Logging customer shipping schedules and addressing any comments, complaints or concerns.
  • Communicating with partnering Marijuana Establishment about any orders that could not be delivered.
  • Coordinating the replacement of any Transport Agents whose shifts need to be covered either in advance or last minute.
  • Answering all incoming emergency and non-emergency phone calls from staff on the road.
  • In case of an emergency, following the emergency protocol procedure.
  • Overseeing daily activities of the Delivery team.
  • If necessary, modify daily routes to accommodate the needs of customers in the logistics software.
  • Taking care of support tickets for our logistics software.
  • Monitoring any sudden route changes or road construction issues and working with Transport Agents to establish new routes for timely deliveries.
  • Preparing all electronic devices and paperwork from the dispensary (i.e. manifests, routes and delivery logs).
  • Maintaining records of dispatched vehicles, driver routes, route changes, as well as delivery and pickup times.
  • Ensuring drivers always comply with transportation regulations and laws.
  • Performing daily quality control check
  • Complete all company and state training requirements.
  • Demonstrating accuracy and thoroughness in order to improve and promote efficiency
  • Analyzing and troubleshooting delivery issues in a timely fashion.
  • Helping the team keep a customer service and learning-based openness that helps Transport Agents remain focused on delivering quality service.
  • Providing quality customer service.
  • Working in close collaboration with Marijuana Establishment inventory specialists and security personnel.
  • Must be willing to occasionally serve as back up driver or warehouse assistant.
  • Working in close coordination with a team of other Transport Agents, Inventory Specialists and Security personnel.
  • Strives to increase productivity and efficiency of Transport Agents and processes.
  • Ability to work in a team environment in high pressure situations.
  • All other job duties and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required
  • Bachelor or associate degree in a related field – preferred but not required

Other Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to obtain proper badging as required by the state of MA
  • Must be able to lift, pull, push, and/or carry up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes occasional evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen (Required; THC is not a disqualifier)
