Full-Time Data Product Manager
Job Description
Terminus is looking for a detail-oriented Data Product Manager for our Data Services Team.
Responsibilities
- Manage the data strategy, roadmaps, business priorities and trade-offs for the Terminus Data Services team. As part of that, you will:
- Understand how our core data services are an integral part of meeting our customers needs and build a roadmap to support it. Go beyond what is possible today and help us chart a course for what will soon be possible by taking full advantage of new data sources and relationships we can draw between disparate data sets.
- Understand the needs of internal and external stakeholders. Build rapport with users, Terminus Professional Services/ Support/ Solutions Consultants and Terminus department leaders and executives.
- Explain the Business Benefits of our data strategy and services to developers, client-facing teams and the broader Terminus team through meetings, articles and presentations. Work with Product Marketing to ensure that the market understands the key differentiating features we have with our data and data processing.
- Be the voice of the customer for our Data Services team. Be able to translate customer requests into requirements that influence the design and architecture of the data model.
- Be a key interface between the Data Services team and the other Product Teams. Ensure that our data platform is being used appropriately by the Product teams and that your team understands their roadmaps and data needs.
- Establish, Maintain and Evangelize both Business & Performance-oriented Metrics to Communicate data quality and the benefits that our data platform are bringing to customers.
Qualifications:
- You’re comfortable working with large data sets and have experience helping users make sense of complicated data in order to drive meaningful results.
- You are comfortable with database types and terminology (e.g. working knowledge of the pros/cons of various NoSQL databases), comfortable reading DB architecture diagrams and conversant in basic AI/ML concepts.
- 5+ years of product management or equivalent experience with demonstrated ability defining and delivering data-centric products OR 3-5 years of experience as a Data Analyst/Scientist with a strong business acumen.
- Preferred experience with marketing technology, marketing automation, advertising technology, and/or products that are built to work with a CRM
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. You’re able to quickly organize your thoughts and deliver the right message to a variety of audiences including engineers, marketers, customer success managers, customer support staff and sales.
- You’re also comfortable thinking on your feet and successfully navigating conversations with customers.
